Essay contest for students, postgraduates and scientists

The International Liberty Institute (ILI) together with its partners, the NGO "Ukrainian Students for Liberty" and the publishing house “Well Books” announces an essay contest with the aim of encouraging a creative approach, developing analytical abilities and stimulating interest in promoting the IDEA OF LIBERTY in Ukraine. If you want to develop scientific thinking, academic skills and research activity, you are welcome to join!

REQUIREMENTS The participant must submit one original essay in Ukrainian. Demonstrate understanding of the issues, causation, logic, and reasoning. The volume of the work should not exceed 2000 words (font: Times New Roman, size 12, spacing 1.5). Works are accepted electronically, in Word or PDF format, to info@ilibertyinstitute.org with “Essay Contest 2024” in the subject line. Age limit: up to 35 years.

TOPICS — Why did economic freedom not take root in Ukraine in the period of 1991-2024? How to fix the situation? — State-entrepreneur: where, how, why and should the state be engaged in commercial activities at all? — What are the problems and how will Ukraine solve them if it joins the European Union? — What goods/services in Ukraine should or can be free or sold at reduced prices? — Promotion of ideas of liberty in Ukraine: scientific, analytical works, books, reports vs TikTok, Instagram та YouTube. TIMING From the 1st to the 31st of October, 2024 included, and the award is to take place in December 2024. PRIZES FOR WINNERS Money prizes for contest winners. Diplomas, certificates for participants. Publication of the best essays on the organizers' websites. Further cooperation with the organizers. Other prizes and awards from the contest partners.
